The soy bean

Soy is being cultivated for millennia. The origin is in East Asia. Meanwhile there are 3500 different species and the cultivation is done around the world as it was becoming more and more important for the animal feeding.

Soy is getting more and more important also for the direct nutrition of the population. On the one hand as vegetable fatty acid and on the other hand as basis for a broad range of soy products in liquid and solid form. 

To eliminate worries about GMO producers are increasingly covering the demand  from local grown soy. However, to successfully cultivate it you need the right climate.
