Soy processing in Austria

Soy cultivation and processing is still a quite new economic sector in Austria but it is getting more important - for agriculture, industry and trade.

There are many impacts for the region:

• the soy cultivation is a future oriented alternative for farmers
• the remains of the soy plant that cannot be processed can be used as animal feed
• the JOYA production facility creates new and safe jobs for the region
• the proximity of cultivation and processing makes expensive transportation redundant and also reduces pollution to a minimum

JOYA stands at the beginning of a success story. As it is also getting more interesting for the export the demand for soy will rise. Nevertheless we will cover our demands solely in Austria. In this way we can guarantee the traceability of the products from the field to the point of sale.
