Tofu

To round up the vegetable range of JOYA products we also offer tofu. JOYA Tofu is a medium hard tofu, which perfectly absorbes the aroma of sauces and marinades.

Tofu is being appreciated as protein source for millennia in China and Japan as it is usable in manifold ways.

Tofu is also being produced in Austria. The process consists of 6 steps:

  • Heat soy milk from Austrian GM-free soybeans to 100 degrees
  • Mix soy milk with natural coagulator and let it flocculate
  • Let soy curd rest in containers
  • Stir curd so that whey can separate 
  • Fill curd in forms let it drain and press it 
  • Cut tofu into blocks, pack it and pasteurise it


Tofu is very neural in the taste and thus can be used for savoury or sweet meals. Tofu can be fried, baked or grilled. It also tastes good raw or with vegetables. It can be enjoyed cold or warm.
